Many hands…plant many trees!

On Friday 26 July, thanks to the wonderful leadership of gardening volunteer Di Neumann, the P&C supported the Kindergarten classes to participate in Schools Tree Day.

Each year, around 2500 Preschools, Kindergartens, Primary and High Schools across Australia take part in Schools Tree Day. Students learn how to plant and care for the seedlings they grow.

This year, the Kindergarten classes and the SRC planted trees on the Primary Site. The trees will assist in creating a windbreak between the oval and the primary classrooms.

Despite being a little bit cold, the children had a lot of fun learning about the trees and how to plant them. They also enjoyed helping make their school yard look that little bit more beautiful.

Our sincere thanks to Di for coordinating this wonderful activity.

  1. Fantastic work, everyone. As someone who has planted thousands of trees I so appreciate the effort that goes into the coordination of such a task. Nothing reflects our hope for the future more than planting a tree.
